Maween Makhseh
Hi,
My name is Jeannie Curry. home of Curry Kritters. In 2007 the Lord answered some prayers after several years. In May, I purchased 8 toy Australian Shepherd breeder dogs with champion bloodline in the rare breed of toy Aussies, only through the financial help of two of my dearest friends, Ronny and Terry Jordan. Then in June, my best friend Mandi found this kennel and in July I sold my place in Weatherford, Texas and bought this property in Ellerbe, N.C. sight unseen, by faith. Everyone I meet asks the same question. What made you move to Ellerbe,N.C.? My answer is always the same: God answering prayer. I only knew Mandi and Jon who found this place and wanted me to move out here. They had come out in December ' 06 to race. They left December '07 are back in Texas, where my children, parents, and all my family in Christ are. To say the least, I felt abandoned and had to inquire of the Lord several times what I was doing way out here? Then the Lord would remind me that He knows the plans He has for our lives, plans to prosper and not to harm, to give us hope and a future...Jeremiah 29:11.
T he second night I was in N.C. I awoke about 3 A.M. with a fear, but knowing fear was not of God, but a few people had told me to watch out for ticks because they carried Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever. I instantly went to the Lord and said,"oh, Lord, I don't believe You brought me all the way out here to let my dogs die." He immediately spoke to my spirit Psalms 91, " no evil will befall you nor will any plague come neigh your dwelling." So I was able to go right back to sleep, but arose early the next morning to read all Psalms 91 but especially claiming verses 9 & 10 for my place. In the Hebrew, the word makhseh, translated, means "refuge, a shelter, a place of trust to run to." "Maween" translated, means "dwelling place, indicating a retreat, dwelling together." When we make the Lord our refuge and habitation by trusting Him, taking our cares, fears, and needs to Him by seeking His counsel, spending times of refreshing with Him everyday, we enter into a sheltered place of promise regarding health, provision, and protection. Read all Psalms 91 and declare it daily over you and your family and everything that pertains to you.
I know it is "high" time to name my kennel Maween Makhseh, and even if I don't know how to pronounce it correctly, or someone else does not know the story behind it, my God knows and to Him I give all glory and honor for loving me and showing me through loving friends and the care He takes for me.
My prayer for you today is you make the Lord your refuge and dwelling place. King David prayed in Psalms 27:4 " One thing I have desired of the Lord, that will I seek, that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life." I want to be the best steward of everything, especially the animals the Lord has entrusted in my care. The Lord says that to whom much is given, much is required. Some people have asked me why I rescued so many cats and dogs back in Texas, and my answer was "because I can". Then the Lord showed me James 4:17, "therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is a sin. WOW! I believe that pertains to anything I see that has a need. My heart would judge me if I just passed by and then I could not have peace with myself.

I want to be known as a breeder of these awesome loving,loyal dogs whose desire is to love and serve their master. May we love and serve our "Master", the Lord Jesus Christ with the same wholeheartedness these dogs love and serve us.
